A trip to Bondi Farmers Markets

Bondi Farmers Market

A sunny winter’s day in Sydney. It’s hard to believe a day filled with sunshine and a cloud free sky is a winter’s day in Sydney.

The gorgeous weather and heat drew me to the seaside and iconic suburb of Bondi. After my round trip on the famous Bondi to Coogee walk, I stopped into the Bondi Farmers Market to pick up some staples for Saturday night entertaining.

I was in absolute awe and amazement of the quality of product at the market, from the gorgeous pink radishes, the organic IVF bees, honey and honeycomb, the locally produced yoghurt, jams, some boutique coffee, breads, pastries and the vibrant, colourful flowers. I was lost in leaves of the purple kale, revitalised and uplifted by the vibrant daffodils and floating on a cloud as I sampled the Bondi yoghurt.

The quality and abundance of produce options, made it near impossible to grab only a few things. I submerged myself in all that the grounds of Bondi Public school had to offer, loosing track of time whilst trawling through the stalls, chatting with stall holders, sipping on some chai soaking up all these gorgeous market stalls  had to offer. With my brain and tastebuds in overdrive, I selected (with advice of stall holders), the best of the best in fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, breads and butter. As the afternoon got on and the stall began to close, I took my goods and wares home and created some tantalizing dishes incorporating all of the ingredients.

Bondi Farmers Market is held every Saturday. The Markets are a hive of activity with plenty of great things to taste, see and do while you are in the grounds of Bondi public school.
